Use the phone numbers in your Twilio account for calls, texts and WhatsApp in Naamo. Twilio keeps billing you directly; Naamo answers.
Naamo can give your business a phone number of its own, with nothing to set up. If you already use Twilio, or want Twilio to bill you directly, you can connect your own Twilio account instead. Your numbers stay in your account; Naamo only points them at itself so it can answer.
Sign in to Naamo, open Channels, and press Connect on the channel you want: Voice for phone calls, SMS for text messages, or WhatsApp. For Voice and SMS, Naamo first offers a number of its own; choose “I have my own Twilio account”. For WhatsApp, choose Twilio as the provider.
Naamo checks the details with Twilio before anything is connected; if Twilio refuses them, nothing changes. The Auth Token is kept on Naamo's servers and is never shown in the browser again.
Naamo points the number's incoming calls and messages at itself. There are no webhook addresses to copy.
Naamo's voice agent runs on Twilio's AI voice service. Once per Twilio account, accept it in Twilio Console → Voice → Settings → General → “Predictive and Generative AI/ML Features Addendum”. Then call your number: Naamo answers, and the call appears in Conversations with its transcript.
To text US mobile phones from a US local number, carriers require A2P 10DLC registration (a brand and a campaign) in your Twilio account; toll-free numbers need toll-free verification instead. Complete it in Twilio. Naamo checks the status and shows it on the SMS channel. Until it is approved, carriers may block replies.
Register the number as a WhatsApp sender once in Twilio: Messaging → Senders → WhatsApp senders → Create new sender. Meta asks the business owner to confirm, which takes about five minutes. Then press Connect in Naamo: it finds the sender, routes its messages to itself and, once Meta has enabled calling for your business, answers WhatsApp calls too.
Send a text or place a call to the number. The conversation appears in Naamo, the AI agent answers, and your team can take over at any moment.
Press Disconnect on the channel. Naamo stops answering and the number stays in your Twilio account. If Naamo rented it for you, you can choose to release it so it stops billing your Twilio account.
